Our Hove Nursery on Dyke Road Avenue has been rated as 'Outstanding' by OFSTED, meaning both or Brighton & Hove settings now hold the top rating from the governing body!

Inspections are conducted to measure the standards of care and overall effectiveness of children’s services, and our Hove nursery has been awarded the rating of ‘Outstanding’ following an inspection in January. The inspector stated that ‘staff demonstrate a strong commitment to improvement, and maintaining high quality care and learning.’ They also felt that Hove nursery ‘effectively promotes children’s healthy growth and development, and a notable strength within the setting is the promotion of healthy eating.’

This result comes only months after our Brighton Nursery on Harrington Road was given the top rating last year. Our General Manager, Kate Peach said of the result, “We are thrilled about attaining our second outstanding rating from OFTSED; this result cements the fact that we provide the highest quality childcare throughout all our settings. We welcome this recognition and will continue to work on improving the services we offer.”

Our Hove Nursery, which currently holds top honours in the Brighton & Hove Healthy Choice Awards and the ‘Scores on the Doors’ hygiene awards, celebrated its 20th birthday in November 2009.
