A Police officer was called in to speak to youngsters at our setting in Lewes on Friday 7th May, where she sat them down for a talking to.

The Police officer was in fact a parent of one of our children at our Lewes nursery, and the talk was actually about her job, and staying safe while walking to school or nursery. Nevertheless the children sat quietly and listened, before being given the chance to try on different parts of Police uniform, including hats, fluorescent jackets and even handcuffs!

The nursery regularly holds sessions with visitors from different professions and cultures, to give their children the most rounded education possible at nursery level. Toni Brown, Lewes Nursery Manager said of the event “The children have been really excited by the visit; and we’d like to thank Donna for taking the time to sit and talk to them. They loved the visit and we are hoping to have some of the other emergency services visit us in the near future. ”
