Business as usual despite the snow!

Tuesday 22 December 2009
Snow may have caused problems throughout the South East over the last couple of days, but Early Years Childcare was still able to keep all of its settings open, and they continued to operate despite the conditions, when competitors and schools had to close.

On Friday morning staff made their way into work despite the transport problems caused by the snow, with child carer’s coming from as far as Eastbourne to the company’s Brighton & Hove nurseries. Staff made their way to their nearest EYC nursery, ensuring each setting had the staff to run as normal, with the added bonus of the children being able to play in the snow. They all wrapped up warm and took full advantage of the rare weather, making snow angels and having fun, despite the cold!

Early Years Childcare’s General Manager, Kate Peach said “I would like to thank all staff for their fantastic efforts in both getting to work and then pulling together to ensure that a continued service was provided to parents and children. It was an amazing achievement by all involved and they took full advantage of the snowy weather by the looks of it.”
